This conference is to commemorate United Nations International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, United Nations Human Rights Day, and United Nations International Migrants Day.
The conference was put together by a group of dedicated Ngee Ann Polytechnic students hoping to make a difference to their society.
Their inspiration was a social research class they had undertaken as first year students in the School of Interdisciplinary Studies where they researched and found out about the plight of Vietnamese foreign brides.
The conference will run from 0900-1300hrs on 09/11/2009 at the Ngee Ann Polytechnic Convention Centre. Registration is required to attend the conference. Admission is Free.
